Therapeutic Lifestyle Program

Is it possible to prevent, reverse and eliminate diabetes, heart disease, obesity, auto-immune disease, fatigue, hormone-related issues, osteoporosis, and the many other chronic diseases we all suffer from?

According to the 2008 Chronic-Disease Almanac, chronic disease affects half of our population, costing 1.6 trillion dollars a year. According to Dr. Richard Carmona, 17th Surgeon General of the United States, “seventy-five cents of every healthcare dollar we spend is on treatment of chronic disease, most of which is preventable.” He also goes on to state that “If we do not reverse this trend, chronic disease will continue to devastate Americans’ health, lead to millions more preventable deaths, and will ultimately bankrupt our healthcare system.”

A therapeutic lifestyle is based on the premise than many of the chronic conditions associated with aging—hypertension, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, osteoarthritis, as well as several forms of cancer—are not inevitable outcomes of the aging process. In addition, things that many people view as signs of aging—such as low energy, poor memory, low libido, chronic pain, and weight gain—are not signs of aging at all. They are signs of illness.

Lifestyle changes are now recommended as the “first-line therapy” for the major chronic diseases in our society:  heart disease, stroke, diabetes, cancer, arthritis, osteoporosis, Alzheimer’s disease, etc. This first line of therapy includes changes in eating habits, incorporating supplementation and medical foods, adequate exercise and sleep, as well as stress reduction.

According to the American Cancer Society, the American Diabetes Association, and the American Heart Association, Cardiovascular disease, cancer and diabetes account for nearly two of every three deaths in the United States. They also state that the first line of therapy is lifestyle changes, which include healthful food and exercise. Yet neither these organizations nor the medical establishment has been able to provide people with a successful means to treat the cause of their health problems or to incorporate good health practices into their lifestyles.

Our FirstLine Therapy™ does both. It’s like a lifeline with supportive people helping you get on board. And it actually addresses the underlying causes of chronic disease. FirstLine Therapy™ is based on scientific research. It was created from the desire to prevent disease, rather than “manage the disease” with drugs and expensive medical procedures. This is not a diet. We will show you how to embrace a lifestyle modification so you feel better now and have a higher quality of life in the future.

FLT is a specialized therapeutic lifestyle-change program that targets the underlying cause of chronic illnesses by incorporating:

  • A sensible eating plan
  • Gentle movement therapy / exercise
  • Nutritional supplements and medical foods
  • Stress management
  • Realistic goals

A therapeutic lifestyle is the most powerful tool there is to positively impact your health for life. Call today to find out how FLT can change your life!
